Oh, NO! the big 6-0!

This weekend we threw a big party for Grandma. She turned 60! Here is a picture of me and my mommy, and my grandma and her mommy- so 4 generations of Van Overbeke... to celebrate Grandma! Yeah! Grandma opening presents- she got an outdoor weather station for on the porch- I wasn't so impressed- but she liked it and mommy and daddy thought it was nice.
Here I am having some lunch- look at my red cheeks. I had so many fun playmates!
Kellen, Tessa (mommy's cousin Jimmy's daughter) and me all ate together. we shared.
Uncle Josh rented this big bouncy that looked like a bug on top. I was scared of it and didn't go in, but lots of my cousins liked it!

The dock is in! Let's go SWIMMIN'!

This past weekend, grandma and grandpa Pilney put in their new dock at the cabin. I played with the blow- up water toys on the deck while it was being put in. I loved the swimming ring- I played with it all day. I can't wait to get it in the water! Here is Daddy, Grandpa and Uncle Jon putting in the dock. You can see the dark clouds that went south of us- causing all those big storms in the cities. We stayed sunny all day long- it was beautiful!
I don't know why I need the swim ring, when I've got my belly! :)

Toys!

Here is my cousin Lilly playing with a toy I got from grandma and grandpa. I'm pretty good at sharing. Looks like fun, Lilly! Kellen and I decide to play with the old Duplo blocks that used to be mommy's and uncle Josh's. They were pretty fun, too.

Fun on the Farm

Here I am spending some time on Grandma and Grandpa Nuytten's farm. I did some swinging and Grandma found a worm. Once she threw it back in the dirt, I watched it wiggle around. I helped her plant some marigolds. So much fun! I get to go back soon to celebrate Grandma's birthday.

Here I am taking a bath and daddy is dumping buckets of water on my... I thought it was HILARIOUS! I love taking baths, just like mommy... but I call it "swimmin".

I played so hard at the cabin that I fell asleep on the couch. I also wasn't feeling very good. I have a pretty nasty cold, but I still run around and play hard. Here is me going in for another daddy kiss. :)

Let Cabin Season Begin... sort of...

Mommy, Daddy and I went up to Big Sandy for the fishing opener/ mother's day/ putting in the docks. There was no fishing because there was no putting in the docks. The water was too high and the weather was too cold. I didn't even make it down to the lake, I just stayed inside most of the time. Here I am giving daddy a kiss. I love my daddy.

Update from the Dr.

Well, I've had my 2 year appointment and only had to get 1 shot. Now I don't get any until I'm 4 or 5! I weigh 36 lbs and I am 37" tall! I'm such a big girl. The doctor says I'm doing great in all areas of development- I'm even doing some stuff ahead of time... Mommy and Daddy are very proud of me!

I see you!

Look at this neat toy I got from Grandma and Grandpa Pilney! It is a long tunnel to crawl through. I love it and it keeps me busy on cold days. Also- an update on cute things I say. When I get my pants changed, I say, "pew, it's stinkin'!" and I plug my nose. But... my two favorite sayings are "NO!!" and "What's That?!?"

I'm Two!

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday, too. He read me a book about the ABCs. I know all my letters now, except W is pretty hard to say.
Auntie Lori, Uncle Josh and my cousins Lilly and Kellen came all the way from Sioux Falls to play with me. Here's Kellen and I playing with my doll house.
Here's my cake that mommy made for me. It was delicious. I had 2 slices on my birthday. All of these people came to celebrate with me: Grandma and Grandpa Pilney; Grandma and Grandpa Nuytten; Josh, Lori, Lilly and Kellen Nuytten; Auntie Jeannie, Uncle Steve, Cousins Rachel and Harrison Worthman; Auntie Diana and Cousin Lydia Lerbs; Beth, Jason and Jimmy Friedrichs; and Amy and Paul Wolvert. It was so FUN! I was spoiled by everyone.

Football! or Futbol?

I am quite the sporty. You'll see me running after the soccer ball. I love to kick! Daddy and I took a break in the grass from playing football. I love spring.

Playing house.

I was having lots of fun with my doll house before bed. I would make the phone ring and say "Hello". I would put the daddy doll in the crib for bedtime. He barely fit. I also think the best place for the big bed is on the roof. If anyone moves it, I get mad and tell them "NO!". (ps- No is my favorite and most often used word-much to mommy and daddy's dismay)

Here I am having a bedtime snack... since I was naughty and refused my dinner. I had a time-out and a bath and finally was back to my sweet self. I was being so cute, mommy and daddy decided I needed to be video- taped. Can you tell mommy has a cold?

April Snow

So, what do you do when it is snowing in the middle of April? Play in a box! I had almost all of my stuffed animals and dolls inside with me. Mommy pushed me around and I giggled at how fun it was, but then it broke. I still sat in it for a while, anyway.

Happy Birthday, Kellen!

Another fun part of our trip to Sioux Falls was celebrating cousin Kellen's 2nd birthday. He is about a month older than me. We make quite the pair. Here we are watching a movie together on Uncle Josh's lap.

New Clothes!

When I went to Sioux Falls, I got lots of new clothes (Lilly's hand-me-downs). They are so cute. Lilly helped me try on a sweater. She knows how to do zippers!

Hop, Hop, Hop! Easter is Fun!

I had so much fun this Easter! Mommy, Daddy and I went to Sioux Falls and celebrated with Josh, Lori, Lilly and Kellen. Grandma and Grandpa Nuytten were there too. The easter bunny came, so I decided to wake everybody up at 5:00 in the morning, so we could get our baskets. I found lots of eggs and got to wear my new pretty dress. It was lots of fun!
