Princess (Queen) and Valentine's Treats

I wanted to wear my princess dress a couple of nights ago, though I insist I am a queen, not a princess.

Look at this great lolly-pop I got at daycare! Mommy keeps calling it a sucker. I promptly correct her that "It's NOT a sucker! It's a LOLLI-POP!"

Now I know my ABCs...

Natalie was singing the ABCs OVER AND OVER AND OVER while she was having lunch. I am pretty happy I caught a version, even though I needed to sing with her a bit at the end. Cute stuff.

Fun at Daycare.

One of the many benefits of having a great daycare across the street.
It was so nice on Friday that Debbie took us outside.
Here I am playing with my friend, Matthew. Mommy took a picture of us from my house! She thought I looked like I was having SO MUCH FUN! And I was!

Mommy and Daddy say Matthew is my boyfriend.
Notice how low my hat is on my head... see post below.

My "Hat".

I have this "hat" that is supposed to go around my neck to keep me warm. I refuse to wear it around my neck, but I LOVE to wear it as a hat. I wear it all day long if mommy and daddy or Debbie will let me. I love it! I even want to wear it to bed at night, but mommy and daddy don't let me do that. I also requre that it sits right at my eyes. If anyone tries to pull it up so it isn't so low, I get REALLY mad.

Stats at 2.75 years!

Natalie has been growing fast. I thought I should put in some stats of the fun things she does, or she will grow fast again and they will be forgotten. Have to keep tabs on this one!
A couple of nights ago, she stated, "I'm the queen!" She proceded to set up a chair as her "throne". As I played with her, if she wanted some toy I had, she would say. "No, mommy! It's for the QUEEN!" and take it from me. It was hard to compose myself and remind her about sharing.

Potty training is going slow. She loves to sit on the potty. Problem: does NOT want to take her pants off to do it. So- peeing on the potty, yes, but the diaper is in the way! I'm starting to think she might need the "wear big girl pants until you get sick of making a mess of yourself" kids.

Her current favorite foods are Spaghetti (with cheese on it), PB&J sandwiches, bananas and grapes. Oh, and mini-corn dogs and french fries.

She still loves to pretend she is an animal of some sort. Mostly doggies, but sometimes a frog or cat.

She came home from daycare and said as she cried, "I hurt Matthew" (her BEST friend at daycare). I asked her if she said sorry. She said no. I asked her if he was sad, she said yes. So I asked Debbie (our daycare provider) about it. She said, "yep! she hit him over the head with a hammer!" She talks about Matthew (mat-pew) a LOT!

Her fave show by FAR is "Wow-Wow Wubbzy". Right now her Elmo goes Potty video is high on the list, too.
She weighs about 40 lbs and wears girls size 5 shirts (no more -T!) and 4T pants. She's a tall one!

I'm sure I'll think of more, but that's a good list for now!

Piggy Bank!

Being silly.

Grandma and Papa helped me put some coins in my piggy bank.
It was fun!

A visit from G&G Nuytten

Daddy went fishing to Lake of the Woods this weekend, so Grandma and Grandpa Nuytten came to keep me from getting to lonesome. We went to B-dubs. Here I am with Grandma.

I got a cute new shirt, so I wanted to model it.
Isn't it cute?

I also had to dance around in it a bit, I liked it so much!

Good, Clean Fun!

I have a new laundry basket with princesses on it. I love it so much, I'd rather play with it than put dirty clothes in it. I like to wear it on my head.
I see you!

Let me out!

I like to read!

I was having breakfast (Life cereal, my favorite right now) downstairs at my table. Mommy was having coffee with her book. I decided I wanted a book to read, too, so I took mommy's. It was very interesting.

Good Xmas relaxing!

Here I am snuggled up on the couch in my "ho-ho hat" and my Dora blanket watching Polar Express. What a good movie! All the Christmas festivities are done, and boy were they fun. Christmas Eve I went to Grandma and Grandpa Pilney's. I had lots of fun with my cousins Lydia, Rachel, and Harrison. I got lots of fun things!
The next morning, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Nuytten's for a nap before heading to mommy's Aunt Jane and Uncle Barry's house. I had fun there, too, but had a bit of an attitude. Perhaps it was the travel, perhaps it is because I'm two and a half. I've gotten a bit better since I've been back home in my own bed, but I miss my G&Gs! I get to go see G&G Pilney tomorrow for the day and then we go to Big Sandy for New Year's. 2009 should be a big year for me. On the list is potty training, giving up my paci, not to mention a ton more words, songs, letter sounds, and counting even higher than 15! Oh, and getting over this "attitude"! :) Happy Holidays to all!

Ice fishing season is here!

Daddy broke in his ice-fishing gear again this weekend. I liked his ski-mask, so I wore it around the house for a while!

Toasty warm!

Me and Daddy. Ready to go fishing!

There is a burglar on the loose!

Christmas on the Farm, 2008

I didn't feel like riding in the sled anymore, so I thought I would pull Daddy!
For Christmas from G&G Nuytten, I got this fancy kitchen. My favorite parts are the phone, and the pots and pans that sound like water boiling or eggs frying. Here I am ordering in pizza! I just don't feel like cooking any more! :)

Kellen liked my kitchen, too! I did a good job sharing, which is a challenge for me these days. I'm pretty convinced that everything is MINE!

Here I am in what I like to call a "ho-ho hat". I like to run around saying "Ho-Ho!" and "Jingle All the Way!" (those are the only words of the song that I know)
Christmas at the farm was so much fun. I played REALLY HARD with my cousins. Santa came on Saturday morning and we played with our new toys all day long. I was pretty tired by the time the weekend was over, but it was worth it!

Rub a Dub, Dub!

One thing I get from my mommy is that I LOVE my baths. Lots of water and lots of bubbles!
Sometimes I play with the bubbles the whole time. I almost forget I have cool toys to play with.

I like to lay on my tummy and blow bubbles. Fun in the tub!

Thanksgiving on the Farm

Grandma and Grandpa and the kids on the golf cart. It was so nice out on Friday (55 degrees!) that we spent a LOT of time outside!
Lilly and Grandpa and me.

Me and Kellen and Lilly watching a movie. :)

Outside running around. It was so much fun!

Post- Haircut Pics

Here I am playing at home after my haircut. Mommy thinks my hair feels even softer than it did before... except where the sucker got in it.
This is the funny face I make before racing. Mommy says ready.... set... then I make this face.... go! Then I run! Mommy thinks it is from the boys playing football at daycare.

Here is a shot of the back of my hair. You might not even notice that I got it cut, but I did!

1st Haircut!

Tonight I got my first haircut. I got this fance tattoo for being a big girl. It is one of the "Snip-Its" characters from where I got my hair cut. It was a fun place. Mommy recommends it to all. "Snip-Its"- $13 bucks! Worth it.
I got a sucker to help me settle down. I wouldn't sit in the tall chair, so I had to get my hair cut while sitting on Mommy's lap.

As you can see, it is a group effort. One of the nice ladies blew bubbles for me, we got to watch TV and I played with a puzzle, all while getting my hair cut!

Pre- Hair cut pics and eating a DELISH cookie.

We are planning on cutting the hair soon, so I had to take a pre-hair cut pic or two.

Last night we went to the grand-opening of Serendipity flowers and Jane Deming had these glorious cookies. I LOVED it!

Back when I was about 9 months old-

This is still my favorite video of me to watch. It's funny!

Look at how short my hair is. Daddy keeps hiding behind a pillow, then peeking out to scare me. I love to watch this video over and over... so mommy finally had to put it on the blog.

Tea Time- Natalie learns letter sounds!

So, my daughter is a HUGE fan of TV, one of the things I said I wouldn't allow much of as a parent, but many things change once you actually ARE one, I've learned... Well, her most recent favorite DVD has been worth it. It taught her the sounds of the letters. This video shows her sharing some of them. Grandma Pilney was over last night and she was VERY impressed! (Don't get dismayed when she gets the first one wrong, she gets better!)

Happy Halloween!!!

I'm such a pretty princess! (but a stubborn one! I wouldn't wear my crown!)

Getting ready to go out trick-or-treating!

Surveying the loot!

Checking out how much candy I raked in!

It is much easier just taking from our candy bin at home!
