More Miltona Pics

My Great Aunt Cathy gave mommy this Bemidji State shirt when she was in college and my mommy was little. Don't I look cute!

I took lots of hard naps up at Miltona.

Coloring with Lilly and Kellen. They are moving to Minnesota this weekend! Yeah!

Lake Miltona 2009

What a week at the lake! Here I am wishing I was still swimming in the water at about 8:00 at night. (Worthmans- notice she is carrying Sweet Pea)

Kellen thinks we should be swimming, too!

I spent HOURS in the water. I absolutely loved it and Mommy and Daddy noticed how much easier it was for them to have me in the water this year. I could swim around on my own with my lifejacket on. They didn't have to be next to me all the time. Just watching! :)

Here I am with Alex and Lilly. I only see Alex about once a year, but we became fast buddies. He's 4 and I really like him. Both of our parents are wondering if they are going to have to worry about us in about 10 years. hehe.

A beautiful sunset view from our cabin.

Alex and I on the swing. Notice we are holding hands.

Grandma and Grandpa with their grandkids.

Lilly, Kellen and I went with our mommies to Carlos Creek Winery. We had fun running around.

We saw LOTS of frogs.

In the Wine Barrel!

Lilly is pointing out the froggies to us.

We couldn't have asked for a better week. This was the view every night. Every day was full of swimming and beach fun!

Running on the beach! (That's me in front, and Lilly in the background)

Can you tell I'm tired and sunburned?

POTTY TIME!!!

It is official- as long as I don't jinx it with this post- Natalie has been in big girl pants for almost a week! I think we can officially say "potty trained"! YES!

One more cute thing....

Natalie was eating pizza for lunch, she scraped up some sauce on her plate with her fork and held it to me. Usually this means she wants to share. So I said, "you want me to eat it?". She said, "No Mommy! Don't eat the fork! That's kinda dangerous!" Funny.

My 2nd Haircut

I got my haircut for the 2nd time. I did much better than my first haircut. I sat in the tall chair and everything. The lady put this pretty ribbon in my hair. I loved it! I also got a ring as a prize.

Striking a pose for the camera after my haircut.

Here are a few of my cutest things that I do lately:
when I get dressed and I'm ready to go, I say, "I'm ready to rock!"
I like to tell mommy that she is my best friend.
My shyness has all but gone away. I tend to say hi to everybody I see, wherever I go.
I can read "Fifteen Animals" by Sandra Boynton from cover to cover.
I can read the first 5 pages of "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss.
I like calling things "beautiful" and "gorgeous" and "gross".

A weekend in Ghent

This weekend, Mommy and I went to Ghent. On Saturday, we visited my great uncle Joe. He gave me an ice cream bar. I really like Uncle Joe!

We went to lunch with Grandma Nuytten and Great Grandma 'Nita! It was yummy and fun to see "Grandma Nita" again.

We went and fed the fish in the pond at the Verkinderen house in Ghent. Mommy tells me that they guy that lives here made her rolle-bolles when she was little.

Here I am having fun at the park in Ghent. Grandpa took me there twice!

I see you!

Grandma and I had a tea party on the porch. I thought this was very special.

Grandma and Grandpa helped me make this stepping stone for their garden. Isn't it pretty?

Cuddling with Grandma in the hammock.

Grandpa spent a lot of time pushing me on the swing this weekend!

Happy 4th of July!

Since Swim School, I've gotten pretty brave in the water.

Papa is swinging me around in the water!

Swimming at the sand bar. (where I got my first leech! but papa pulled it off quick!)

A 4th of July princess!

Fabulous Fourth!

My first time driving the boat!

Look! Daddy isn't even watching where I'm driving him!

The Worthman's got me this cool tackle box, it had a fishing vest, a fishing pole, a net, and some fishies to catch! Thanks Worthmans!

Daddy and I on the pontoon.

I passed!

Swim school is over, for now. I passed Littles 1! Next time, I'll be in "Littles 2". Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me, and took me out to pizza after I was done.

Look at me swim like a fish!

All -Time Great Video

This is a video of Natalie before she could walk. So- she must have been not-quite one. We still watch it now and then, but I never put it on the blog. It is Natalie's favorite video of herself. That yelling person behind the scenes is John. Always the entertainer for the kids. :)

A visit from friends.

While Daddy was at softball, Jimmy and George visited me. George went to sleep early (he's one), but Jimmy and I partied until about 9:30. Here we are playing music!

I love Jimmy!

Swimming: Week 2

This is my second week of Swim School. I absolutely love it! I dance around before we leave, singing "swim school! swim school!"

I started wearing goggles this week so I can look underwater. Here I am learning to hold my body the right way to swim. I love this part.

My teacher was trying to give me a hi-five, but I was distracted by the kids in the next lane. :)

Here is a not-so-impressive display of my skills, but mommy's battery wore out before I did the really good swimming. In this video- I just kind of get dunked. :)

A video of me at my first lessons.

My first Swimming Lessons!

I went to swimming lessons at Foss Swim School! I loved it! My teacher's name is Andrea and she is FUN!

Here I am on the platform in the middle!

I dumped water on my own head! Just like in the tub!

Splash!!!! I think the other kids didn't like that so much!

This is me waiting to go in. I was getting antsy!
