Happy #3!

It has been over a week, but I had a happy birthday party last Saturday. Lots of people came to play with me and I got really spoiled. Thanks everyone for the gifts! Your real thank you's should be on the way soon! Here is a picture of me in my house I got from G&G Pilney. It's pretty fun! I like to have snacks in there and ask mommy and daddy to come in, but they don't fit as well as I do.

Here is me right before I opened my gifts. I got so many fun things. It was warmer than last year, too, so we were kind of outside (more in the garage than out) .

I'm Three!

Today I turn 3 years old! I'm really starting to understand what this birthday thing is all about. I brought cupcakes to daycare and all my friends got one. Mommy and Daddy made my favorite spaghetti and let me blow out a candle on my cupcake, too! I needed a little help with that, my aim wasn't so good. I don't know all the normal stats, because my checkup is in a couple of weeks, so I'll let you know how big I've gotten.
These pictures were taken this weekend. If you want to see them all, click on the link on the right for my 3 year pics. There are a lot! Some of my and mommy and daddy, too!
Mommy and Daddy think I'm pretty smart for a just turned-3 year old. I know lots of shapes: square, rectangle, triangle, oval, and octagon. I am pretty good at colors, too. I know all my ABCs and the sounds they make and the song! My favorite songs to sing are ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle, and "the shadow song". Happy Birthday is quickly climbing the charts, as is the "wonder pets" theme song. I seem to throw out a new vocabulary word every day, much to the amusement of others. I'm also developing my fashion sense. I let Mommy know if things don't match, and if I plain don't want to wear a shirt, I say "It's too small".
Phrases I use almost too much are: "I don't like it" (food) "MOMMY!!! Come here a second!" and "You're not coming to my birthday party!"
Cute ones are: "you wanna play with me?" and "I'm gonna go nigh-nigh. I wanna read Snort book, and Birthday monsters, and jammy book and......"
Well, that's enough for now. Hopefully my party this weekend brings in some warm weather!

Easter/Shower

This weekend we went to G&G Nuytten's farm. Lilly and Kellen and Josh and Lori were there, too! It was so much fun! Here are a few pictures of me playing in my Great Uncle Joe and Great Aunt Shirley's new "shed". It was a lot of fun running around and playing bean bags.... until I realized it was past my bedtime. Then I let it be known that I was leaving! :(

Get ready Lake Miltona, I'm going to be the '09 beanbag champ!

Grandma and Grandpa had an Easter Egg Hunt for me and my cousins. After hearing what happened to the eggs at G&G Pilney's, these ones got filled with coins! I probably had enough candy, anyhow.

Finding my Easter Basket

Easter!

The Easter Bunny came to my house while I was at church. I LOVE the Easter Bunny!
Here is a picture of me when I first saw my basket!

My first trip to the MN Zoo!

Mommy and I both had a day off- so we went to the zoo. It was quite evenful- which is a whole other story- but we had fun once we got there. I know there aren't any pictures of me with real animals, but trust me, I saw a lot! Here I am sitting on a pig!
I liked to play inside this toy barn. I especially liked the horsey.

Here I am with the fishies. I love looking at fish and dolphins and sharks.

Look at the BIG BEAR!!!

Spring-time Fun

When the snow melts, fun puddles are made. I love jumping in them with my boots on!

Baseball season has begun. Mommy and daddy tried to teach me the finer points of the game. I've got swinging that bat and cheering down pat. Running the bases? I tend to go straight to 2nd base and back. I'll work on it!

A step in the right direction

There are no pics of me in this post because mommy didn't want to ruin the moment with a camera. I used my potty 2 times in the last 2 days! This may seem small, but mommy and daddy are making such a fuss, it must be big news. Both times were around bath time. The first time, I didn't want to sit in the tub, and I told daddy I had to go poopies. Daddy grabbed me out of the tub fast and plopped me on the potty. No poopies, but a successful trip- you know what I mean.
The 2nd time, mommy had just finished giving me a bath and I sat myself on the potty. I got to blow bubbles while I sat there. Another success. Then I got to flush it and yell "bye-bye pee-pees!" It was fun. Hopefully more to come!

Fashion Plate

Mommy is on spring break and she went shopping today and found me some spring clothes. I wanted to put this shirt on right away. In this one I told mommy to take a picture of me stretching.

Once I put it on, I said "I wanna see the mirror" so I could check myself out. Once I approved, I said, "I wanna say cheese" which I did in these pics.

Princess (Queen) and Valentine's Treats

I wanted to wear my princess dress a couple of nights ago, though I insist I am a queen, not a princess.

Look at this great lolly-pop I got at daycare! Mommy keeps calling it a sucker. I promptly correct her that "It's NOT a sucker! It's a LOLLI-POP!"

Now I know my ABCs...

Natalie was singing the ABCs OVER AND OVER AND OVER while she was having lunch. I am pretty happy I caught a version, even though I needed to sing with her a bit at the end. Cute stuff.

Fun at Daycare.

One of the many benefits of having a great daycare across the street.
It was so nice on Friday that Debbie took us outside.
Here I am playing with my friend, Matthew. Mommy took a picture of us from my house! She thought I looked like I was having SO MUCH FUN! And I was!

Mommy and Daddy say Matthew is my boyfriend.
Notice how low my hat is on my head... see post below.

My "Hat".

I have this "hat" that is supposed to go around my neck to keep me warm. I refuse to wear it around my neck, but I LOVE to wear it as a hat. I wear it all day long if mommy and daddy or Debbie will let me. I love it! I even want to wear it to bed at night, but mommy and daddy don't let me do that. I also requre that it sits right at my eyes. If anyone tries to pull it up so it isn't so low, I get REALLY mad.

Stats at 2.75 years!

Natalie has been growing fast. I thought I should put in some stats of the fun things she does, or she will grow fast again and they will be forgotten. Have to keep tabs on this one!
A couple of nights ago, she stated, "I'm the queen!" She proceded to set up a chair as her "throne". As I played with her, if she wanted some toy I had, she would say. "No, mommy! It's for the QUEEN!" and take it from me. It was hard to compose myself and remind her about sharing.

Potty training is going slow. She loves to sit on the potty. Problem: does NOT want to take her pants off to do it. So- peeing on the potty, yes, but the diaper is in the way! I'm starting to think she might need the "wear big girl pants until you get sick of making a mess of yourself" kids.

Her current favorite foods are Spaghetti (with cheese on it), PB&J sandwiches, bananas and grapes. Oh, and mini-corn dogs and french fries.

She still loves to pretend she is an animal of some sort. Mostly doggies, but sometimes a frog or cat.

She came home from daycare and said as she cried, "I hurt Matthew" (her BEST friend at daycare). I asked her if she said sorry. She said no. I asked her if he was sad, she said yes. So I asked Debbie (our daycare provider) about it. She said, "yep! she hit him over the head with a hammer!" She talks about Matthew (mat-pew) a LOT!

Her fave show by FAR is "Wow-Wow Wubbzy". Right now her Elmo goes Potty video is high on the list, too.
She weighs about 40 lbs and wears girls size 5 shirts (no more -T!) and 4T pants. She's a tall one!

I'm sure I'll think of more, but that's a good list for now!

Piggy Bank!

Being silly.

Grandma and Papa helped me put some coins in my piggy bank.
It was fun!

A visit from G&G Nuytten

Daddy went fishing to Lake of the Woods this weekend, so Grandma and Grandpa Nuytten came to keep me from getting to lonesome. We went to B-dubs. Here I am with Grandma.

I got a cute new shirt, so I wanted to model it.
Isn't it cute?

I also had to dance around in it a bit, I liked it so much!

Good, Clean Fun!

I have a new laundry basket with princesses on it. I love it so much, I'd rather play with it than put dirty clothes in it. I like to wear it on my head.
I see you!

Let me out!

I like to read!

I was having breakfast (Life cereal, my favorite right now) downstairs at my table. Mommy was having coffee with her book. I decided I wanted a book to read, too, so I took mommy's. It was very interesting.
